During his 2 day stint at this year’s West Mid Show in Shrewsbury, Jean Christophe Novelli praised the diversity of what Shropshire has to offer for consumers, and diners alike. During his demonstrations he invited regional chefs who source their produce from the locality, and called on his old friend and protégée Jamie Yardley from The Boyne Arms in Burwarton Near Bridgnorth, whom he described whilst on stage as 'one of the most talented chefs I have ever worked with'. Jamie worked with Jean Christophe for 4 years at award winning Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire.
In the evening Jean Christophe took timeout of his busy schedule to visit The Boyne Arms, located between Bridgnorth and Ludlow, to relax and enjoy some of Jamie's cuisine. Jean Christophe commented “I am so pleased to see what Jamie as achieved at the Boyne Arms, it is a fantastic setting, and Jamie has a real talent out of getting the best out of ingredients that this regions has to offer.” continuing “I am very impressed with Shropshire and what the county has to offer, I will certainly be back”
The Boyne is a popular destination for many of the regions discerning foodies, who enjoy Jamie's culinary skills using local produce, and those he learnt under the direction of Jean Christophe “It's great to see JC again after so long. We don't manage to catch up with our busy schedules and my young family, but JC was kind enough to give me a call when he knew he was coming to Shropshire, and he managed to find time to dine with us, which was a real pleasure to cook for him again, and by all accounts he was more than satisfied''.
