The Fighting Cocks is famed for its regional and VERY local produce..
Sandra and her team either grow their own produce, including their own pigs who enjoy the daily vegetable scraps, to the vegetables and meats which are supplied by local farmers, butchers and producers - See our Suppliers Tabs for more info. The food is 'back to basics' serving the ingredients with no fuss, just flavour.
The Menus - serving daily, the menus change by the seasons, and largely by what is cooking on the day. Click the daily menu board above for an enlarged sample of a menu selection.
All pates, pies, and puddings are homemade using game, grouse, pheasant, and rabbits, from local shoots.
All meats are hung for up to 28 days, and their steaks are known as being "the best value steaks in the area."
Fish is also served when available - famed for their hand battered haddock and hand cut chips
World food is also served, with their regular Monday Curry nights with 'open mic' - very popular, best get there early to secure a seat. Music & entertainment PLUS curry £3.50!(includes chutney from Kitts Kitchen.)
Vegetarians are also fully catered for with some creative specials.
Puddings - Also home-made and the chocolate is all the indulgent Montezumas chocolate - one of the finest commercial chocolatiers in the UK.
Local Shop - The Fighting Cock also has its won shop, selling local produce from Shropshire and Worcestershire. See above tab for more details...
