The King and Thai Ironbridge, recent Winner of the UK BEST Thai Eatery Award, as recognised by the Asian Curry Awards. The King and Thai @ The Forester Arms offers authentic Thai cuisine, served in a contemporary setting.

'Locally famous' Suree, owner of the King and Thai has transformed the traditional Forester Arms into this 'Hint of Asia' with soft leather sofas & Thai artefacts, with fresh orchids on all the tables. The high backed leather chairs in the restaurant provide the perfect setting to enjoy their wide range of authentic Thai dishes, including daily specials, as well as Asian beers.

Since opening their doors originally 8 years ago in Ironbridge, the business has gone from strength to strength. Much acclaimed throughout Shropshire, and beyond, the success has allowed the restaurant to grow into its new home.

Customers both old, and new, are more than welcome to try this new experience, and true Taste of Thailand. Many travelling form all over Shropshire, and beyond.

The ingredients on the menus are all authentic. The Thai ingredients are sourced directly from Thailand, and the meats are all from the local butcher in nearby Broseley - including the chicken and eggs, which are either free range or barn reared, with full RSPCA accreditation, and 28 day aged beef for their signature 'Weeping Tiger' dish.

Also being awarded a Silver award for healthy eating, there is no reason not to visit.

Suree & The Hairy Bikers: As many local foodies saw, Suree also appeared withe the Hairy Bikers at the Shrewsbury Flower Show demonstrating her cookery, and flower carving skills.
