The menu was limited due to two of the main courses being off. The food was very well prepared, but the mashed potato had chunks of potato left in it, and was very heavy. However, the salad and vegetables were fresh and well presented. The starter I had, delicate flavoured scallops with a strong sweet chilli sauce, was not a good combination, and my wife's asparagus needed to be cooked a little longer. The premises seems to be stuck between pub food and fine dining, and misses the mark on both accounts.

we went for a drive and ended up here.we were extremely lucky to get a table for two,as it was fully booked.the food was wonderful.not cheap but then it was worth every penny.well pleased.would have made our night if we could have stayed but again all the rooms were booked.would definitely recommend to others and come back again and hopefully stay!

Delicious food, including a top quality and excellent value for money packed lunch for our hike. Wouldn't hesitate to go again, either to stay or just for a meal.

We cycled up wenlock edge - well worth the trip. looked after, and top pub food, & a couple of pints. Not a bad find.

The staff are very good and make you welcome and after dinning there twice since change of ownership, i feel the standard of food needs to improve before I'll eat there again.

Well worth the trip up the edge...they have really got this place spot on. Even kept the tap room. Cosy pub and restaurant. Food was very good, though a little pricey for a pub, you can't get cheap food anymore anyway!

Proprietors were extremely friendly, generous and welcoming. We found out we shared similar interests, so spent time together making friends after lunch. Food is exquisite. Am a vegetarian, so was pleasantly surprised at their delicious, varied menu. I will definitely go back when I return to England on holiday.
