The Hadley Bowling Green

The Hadley Bowling Green Inn, Ombersley, has recently been taken over. A 16th century country inn and hotel with open log fires serving various tradional ales with an extensive menu made from all fresh produce. This country pub, with its own private bowling green offers local produce, fine wines, and historic hospitality - reported to be the location of Guy Fawkes' Gunpowder plot plan. All food home cooked. and prepared to order. Rooms also available.

After walking 7 miles from Worcester, we were delighted with our lunch venue. The Sunday lunch was excellent - superb roast beef, beautifully cooked vegetables and best Eton Mess ever! It was difficult to get walking again afterwards.

We have been a few times before, but not for a while. After many attempts it does look like new owners have it right. Updated menus, and spot on service. Yes we did try the chips,and we must say, pretty spot on!
