The location and postion of this resturant is unmatchable. We have been there, to eat outside, on quite a number of occassiosn during the summer and it has been fine. However, to eat inside seems to be a real issue. We went there (in the late summer) to an empty resturant with only one booking that evening. We were told, we would have to wait one and half hours; apparentley only one table at a time can be handled and a time has to be booked for that; the chef/staff seemingly incapable of handling more than one cover at any one time. While the buidling atmosphere sells itself, the whole experience was marred by the inabilty to cook and prepare food for more than one cover; and the most unfriendly manager/owner that we have ever met. His welcome to all but his regulars, is positivley hostile. We walked out and will not walk back in. Sad that county landmark is so bad.
