According to research conducted by moneysupermarket.com, the credit crunch has led to fewer people eating out in the past 12 months, which has forced restaurants to offer deals to entice diners to their tables.
High earners such as bankers and lawyers have reduced the number of long lunches by as much as 70 per cent and some 40 per cent of Britons use a voucher at least once a month. The most popular voucher on Moneysupermarket.com is for Pizza Express.
