The Swan at Forton
The Swan at Forton just outside Newport in Shropshire is a real country Inn in the traditional sense. All open fires, wood floors, real ales, comfortable arm chairs, fresh food, dining rooms intermingle with cosy library bar.
The Swan has been famous for its Carvery for many years and its very much a key part of the lunchtime food service. The carvery lunch is available every lunchtime, Monday to Sunday and now Thursday evenings too.
The Swan has a regularly changing fresh food menu and a good selection of steaks and grills. Their range includes traditional favourites such as Beer Battered Haddock Fillet through to contemporary classics like Sicillian Vegetable and Goats' Cheese Tartlet
Accommodation. The Swan have 10 en suite rooms. Standard Rooms in the annex are compact double rooms with en suite shower, TV and welcome tray. Superior Rooms are in the main building and comprise two twin rooms, a family room for 3 guests and two doubles. The rooms are all spacious with comfortable furnishings and shower rooms. All have digital TV and welcome tray.
Weddings and Parties. The Swan is perfect for small to medium sized parties and weddings for those seeking more intimate bespoke events. Whether it’s a birthday or anniversary celebration or your wedding day, they can tailor the right package for you
