The Walls Restaurant. Oswestry. was founded in 1841. The Walls was originally a school for the boys. girls and infants of Oswestry. The building was designed by Thomas Penson and was financed by public subscriptions with grants also being made by the Committee of Council on Education and The National Society.

Now dramatically transformed into this opulent setting. which is 'much more than a large place in which to eat and drink!'  What has been created is a venue that is visually rich. traditionally comfortable. fun and relaxing to be in and has loads of space.

With friendly. thoughtful staff and a fantastic selection of food and wines. The Walls is superb for weddings. grand corporate occasions. balls. private parties. jazz and cabaret nights. fashion shows. christening parties. art exhibitions. wine tastings and romantic dinners for two.

The Food - A menu to match the surroundings. with old favourites. traditional descriptions. many with a 'Geoff Twist'.  From a romantic dinner for two all the way through to grand celebrations. weddings. corporate hospitality events and great live music evenings. every occasion gets The Walls treatment. They are not "High Church"; more of an honest-to-goodness restaurant serving food with integrity in a relaxed and friendly manner.

The Drink - Whatever your tipple. you will find it here. From local bottled ales. Belgian Beers. Continental lagers. hand-pulled ales. adn a wine list that you might like to take on holiday. The descripstions match the selection. ranging form your entry level 'house' at around £14. all the way to £250+ pocket busters. However. the pre-tense is a welcome absentee.
