Conservatory Restaurant ~ With views of famous floundersfolly situated on Callow Hill, near Craven Arms - enjoying magnificant views of the Shropshire Hills & beyond.
The restaurant seating is comfortable and opulent, while the service is attentive, but relaxed.

Games Room ~ Offering guests and locals a place to relax and catch up away from the bustle of the restaurant, with traditional pub games, pool table & large screen SKY sports TV.

Outside ~ The rear offers views over countryside & fields, where you can enjoy a drink, meal or even a smoke. Shropshire Caravan parking arranged on prior booking.

Accommodation ~ The 12 bedrooms offer varied accommodation incl. 5 triple, 5 double and 2 twin rooms. Also included are rooms with full disabled access, & children's facilities. We specialise in top quality Aberdeen Angus Steak and Beef (renowned to be the best in the world) which we buy direct from Millers Meats of Speyside. The majority of our produce is home-made and prepared daily to a high standard by our experienced chefs. We take pride in our foods and only use reputable companies and we guarantee that our carvery is used with 100% fresh ingredients. If any individual suffers from food allergies please ask a member of staff who can help and discuss produce ingredients further.

Our Carvery
Our renowned carvery is served lunchtimes daily, as well as evenings from Wednesday to Saturday. Sundays are a real feast serving from 12.00 to 4pm. Our meets are sourced from regional suppliers, as well as our award winning Aberdeen Angus Beef fillets.

ABERDEEN ANGUS BEEF, SCOTTISH LEG OF PORK, LOCALLY REARED TURKEY, LOCAL LAMB, LOCAL VENISON OR DANISH HAM SERVED WITH A HOST OF FRESH VEGETABLES, ROASTED POTATOES, INCLUDING OUR HOMEMADE CAULIFLOWER CHEESE AND GARLIC POTATOES TOPPED OFF WITH A TRADITIONAL STOCK GRAVY AND HOMEMADE YORKSHIRE PUDDING.

Using The Travellers Rest as a base, you can enjoy many local attractions.

Within walking distance you can enjoy Flounders Folly. Built in 1838 by Benjamin Flounders. Recently restored, you can climb to the top and enjoy views of the Malverns, the Black mountains, and the Long Mynd.

Also we are just a short drive from historic Ludlow with its castles and  markets, Stokesay Castle, and Church Stretton, and walks on the Long Mynd.
